Adventure Standard was created by Michael Brakefield to document real experience with motorcycles, tractors, tools, outdoor equipment, maintenance projects, travel, and honest product testing.
Michael has decades of public-safety and field experience, including international work, and is a former police-dog handler. He currently operates Charleston Safety, LLC, and brings a practical, safety-conscious perspective to every product and piece of equipment he covers.
The content here is not produced by a professional mechanic or a sponsored influencer. It comes from someone who actually uses this equipment — on the road, on the property, and in the shop — and wants to share what works and what doesn't.
